Gifts for Men: Lovely Beards Beard Oil & BalmHow many of you are dating/married to bearded guys? How many of you are with guys participating in #Movember? Are you yourself a bearded dude?🙋
If your answer is "yes" to any of these questions you know the struggle! The struggle of being kissed by a prickly beard or the struggle of itching your face until you're fairly certain you won't have any face left to itch ... the struggle is real! 😬
I know the struggle, I've been married to a bearded guy for 11 years and I feel ya! Which is why when we were approached to review and share our experience with Lovely Beards beard balm and oil PLUS give you guys an exclusive promo code with "beards10" at checkout we leaped at the chance!
Of course, we checked out the products before saying yes. We've tried (and I say we not because I have a beard, but because what goes on the hubs' face eventually ends up near or on my face) quite a few beard products over the years. The hubs has always struggled with dryness in and under his beard. Some products have been great, some products have been total flops. We loved that Lovely Beards uses super natural ingredients (not huge fans of chemically facial products), many of which are in our favorite skincare products, so we agreed to give their stuff a go.
Movember Must or Move On?
This has truthfully been some of the most effective stuff the hubs has used on his beard so far! It's been a few days and his beard is softer to the touch (he has super thick hair so he still pokes me now and again, but at least it's not quite as bad) and his skin isn't itching him like crazy despite the fact we're in such a dry, cold period up here.
Of the two products, he seems to like both so far. He reaches for both equally and sometimes applies both if he's having a super dry day. A little bit goes a long way, but it absorbs well and doesn't leave his beard super shiny or greasy looking--nobody wants that!
If you look closely you can see his skin beneath his beard is a bit shinier with the balm than the oil (wax-based so not surprised), but he hasn't had any issues with breakouts or irritation and he does have super sensitive skin.
Nose-Approved Beard Oil & Beard BalmI'm the first to admit that I'm insanely picky when it comes to scents, but the hubs is pretty particular, too. When we looked over the scents we knew right away that citrus scents would appeal to both of us, so we grabbed Mandarin Cedarwood beard oil and Nectarine Mint beard balm. While cedarwood can be hit or miss for me, I actually like it mixed with the sweetness of the mandarin. Nectarine Mint is really nice. The hubs, who has to smell whatever he applies to his beard all day long, loves both of them!
Hubs Approved Savings on Gifts for Men
Now that we've had the chance to give this a try and give it our seal of approval, we're excited to pass some savings on to you! Oh, and we thought this lovely faux class picture of the hubs might help you remember our review a bit better because ... who can forget that image? 😆
Lovely Beards has given our readers an exclusive savings of 10% off for a limited time with promo "beards10" at checkout! This will be good until 12/12/2016, but if you want to get it for the holiday or for Movember I'd act quickly so you have it in time.
So there you have it! Lovely Beards beard oils and balms are definitely at the top of our list for gifts for (bearded) men this year. I think they'd made great stocking stuffers for any of the men in your life (or yourself if you have a beard) and while the price is really decent for such natural products, that extra 10% off certainly helps. 😏
Have you or the man in your life tried beard oils or balms in the past? Have you liked them?
