Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Eye PencilsIf you struggle, like me, with finding liners that stick like glue to your waterline Urban Decay's announcement regarding their new waterline-specific liners probably peaked your interest.
They recently released 5 deep shades in their 24/7 Waterline collection meant to offer a demi-matte finish in a creamy formula (according to UD it's even creamier than their original 24/7 liners). These were formulated by UD specifically for the waterline, which is notorious for breaking down even the best eyeliners. While UD described them as creamier than the original 24/7 liners, I personally found these had a thicker formula. Urban Decay's original 24/7 liners have an incredibly creamy formula to me (love it) and while these don't drag on the waterline while applying from my experience, they definitely weren't as ultra-soft. Again, no drag, but definitely thicker, which wasn't a bad thing in my opinion!

Final ThoughtsI have to be upfront and tell you that not only do I naturally find my eyes break down even the strongest liners, but I am a contact wearer and the drops I use in my eyes (in addition to my natural oils and tears) also work to break down my liner by the end of the day. I did test these out and found they wore comparably to my favorite go-to liners that I tend to use frequently on my waterline (including Urban Decay's original 24/7 liners). Their performance wasn't poor, but in my case I have to go to great lengths to set my liners due to a number of factors. Keep in mind, everyone is different and you could definitely have different results.
That being said, I really love that these are incredibly matte (I'd actually say they're more matte than demi-matte) and the shades have great depth. I'm not sure if these will potentially perform better for others and I didn't personally see a difference between the originals and these performance-wise by the end of the day, but they aren't a bad addition in my opinion due to the fact they offer a different finish and new shades. They may work well for someone with eyes that tend to work a little less hard to break down everything that touches their waterline than mine.
Overall, not quite awe-inspiring for me performance-wise, but I do love the shades and finishes!
