Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss Collection Holiday 2015 Set

Lip gloss lovers, do yourself a favor and just hand your credit cards over because I think you'll find it hard not to buy this set of MUFE Plexi-Gloss lippies after you take a peek at them--available now! They're beautiful, they perform wonderfully and the price is decent compared to the retail value ($228 retail value with a $150 price tag).  Yes, this set is a bit of an investment (or indulgence), but if you're a real lippy addict that probably doesn't phase you too much.

I've talked about MUFE's plexi-glosses in the past, so I won't bore you too much with the nitty-gritty details (feel free to look back at my previous post for that), but I will say that while the formulas tend to vary slightly between the finishes, they are all extremely self-leveling and give lips a plump finish overall.

Price - $150 retail ($228 value)

Where to Buy - MakeUpForEver.com/MUFE Boutiques; Sephora.com/Sephora

*All swatches were taken on bare lips in natural light. I have little pigmentation in my lips naturally, so keep that in mind when viewing swatches.

Final Thoughts

Overall, I think this set offers a great variety of finishes and shades. I love this formula and I've had great luck with the different shades I've tried since MUFE first released them. I think all of the shades above are unique enough to make them worth owning, but if you twisted my arm and forced me to choose favorites I'd say the standout shades for me were #500, #405, #403, #300p, #209 and #100p. But honestly, I liked each one I swatched and will certainly be wearing all of them over the course of the fall/winter.

I do think that value-wise you get a decent amount of product for the price given the fact these 12 would normally cost you $228. Yes, I know $150 does push it to the higher end of the holiday set price spectrum, but if you're a makeup artist or lip gloss addict it may very well be worth the purchase!

For anyone hoping to gift a super impressive item to the lippy addict in their life ... give this a thought!

What do you think? Will this be making it onto your holiday wishlist?
