Honey Maid Teddy Grahams - This Is Wholesome

Honey Maid: This is Wholesome

It's funny, Honey Maid is tied to so many childhood memories for me. My younger brother, with whom I was very close when we were little, absolutely adored chocolate Honey Maid Teddy Grahams. He could eat them by the box! My mom was incredibly picky about the foods we ate and these were one of the few treats she consistently bought. It was so nice to open our lunch boxes up at school and find these inside. I can even remember exactly how they tasted just sitting here writing about them! And who didn't grow up loving Honey Maid graham crackers? It was all we used for s'mores on our family trips to Vermont to ski each winter and the only thing my mom would make her famous cheesecake crust out of during the holidays.

All these years later, Honey Maid still makes some of my long-time favorites. Aside from Teddy Grahams, I'm still a total s'mores girl and they never quite taste right unless they're made with Honey Maid honey graham crackers. It's so funny that I'm now able to share these delicious treats with my own family. My little guys love Chocolate Chip Teddy Grahams and graham cracker s'mores, of course. The holidays come rolling around and what do I use to make my cheesecake crust with? You guessed it, Honey Maid graham crackers. Funny how that works!

My little guys recently saw the Grahamfuls in a store, which I had never seen before, and have already grabbed those to try. They look delicious!

As a mom, I love that Honey Maid Teddy Grahams are low in calories (only 130 per serving for the Chocolate Chip ones) and in sodium. They're convenient to take in the car, where we spend a lot of our time, and ... they're adorable!

The first time I saw Honey Maid's "This Is Wholesome" campaign I fell in love. Not only did I grow up in a family that was considered "different", but I'm now raising a family that is also, in many ways, unique. I'm biracial so my children are mixed. My husband was born in the US, but grew up overseas in Indonesia and will forever refer to it as home. Our household is a complete mix of cultures and ethnicities as you can imagine! Both of my children have different medical diagnoses and they work daily to overcome the challenges those present. As a result, we spend a lot of our time in and out of evaluations, therapies and for the last few years have home schooled my oldest. I'm a work-out-of-the-home mom to top it off. We are anything but the same as other families. But if you really think about it, no two families are the same in general. Sometimes those differences are simply more obvious.

Celebrating the fact that there is no one-size-fits-all family is so important. I want my children to recognize that every family is a family. I'm thankful Honey Maid is working to spread this message through their wholesome snacks!
