DHC Profile

DHC is a Japanese skincare company that has been in existence for over 30 years. They offer an impressive array of skincare and cosmetic products that I have fallen desperately in love with (and not just because I'm half-Japanese) that I cannot wait to share with you over the coming weeks!

You guys know I adore cleansing oils. They work amazingly well on my dry, sensitive skin, so when DHC offered to send me their Deep Cleansing Oil I jumped at the chance to give it a try--I'd heard such good things about it. I've shared my experience below.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil Review

Product Type

This is a multi-ingredient cleansing oil meant to remove dirt, excess oil and even waterproof makeup from skin. You simply apply this to the face, then rinse to remove.

Scent

This has a very light olive oil scent--if you use a lot of olive oil or olive oil products you know what I'm referring to.

On the Skin

This smooths easily into the skin and removes quickly with water. In fact, this is absolutely one of the most easy-to-use cleansing oils I've ever tried--and I've tried a lot! Unlike other cleansing oils that sometimes require some extra scrubbing to remove or perhaps even require being wiped off because they can't be rinsed, this literally rinses right off with little to no effort. This removed a full face of makeup (including waterproof eye products and waterproof setting spray) in a couple minutes flat every time. I did not have to excessively rub my face while applying or rinsing off the oil.

Ingredients

olea europaea (olive) fruit oil, caprylic/capric triglyceride, sorbeth-30 tetraoleate, pentylene glycol, phenoxyethanol, tocopherol, stearyl glycyrrhetinate, rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf oil

Final Thoughts

This cleansing oil knocked my socks off! I love cleansing oils to begin with, but I have never used one this effective and easy to use. I actually don't mind ones that require a little extra work to remove, but this was convenient and effective from beginning to end. This did not leave any oiliness behind on my skin either, which isn't so much a concern for my dry skin, but may be a concern for those with oily/troubled skin. Definitely worth trying regardless of your skin type in my opinion. This is all I've used for the last 2 weeks and it is amazing, I cannot say enough about it! I can see why it's one of DHC's top-selling products.

Do yourself a favor and try this asap!

What do you think? Would you give this a try? Have you tried cleansing oils before?

  2. Wow, it removed EVERYTHING waterproof?! IN love. I'm scared of trying oils on my face, but I think I would call my skin type a combination, so I guess it's definitely worth a try, especially since you're recommending it? Thanks for sharing this brand - I'd never heard of it! <3
