I mentioned yesterday that I've been having some health issues and had an important appointment today. It didn't go quite as I'd hoped, so it may be a little while before we know exactly what's going on. I'm going to try to let this affect the blog as little as possible! The gift guide will absolutely go up as scheduled and I'll be working hard to get additional product reviews up. I'm still going to try to get at least 1 holiday look up before Christmas as well. Thanks for your support!
It's that time of year again! Each year BeautyPopStop publishes a holiday gift guide geared towards men and women, featuring a variety of exciting products. The Hubs and I have put our heads together once again (don't forget to check out his men's section above for men's products) and we have some pretty amazing gift ideas to share with you this year!
Each edition features one gift idea for women (or general beauty lovers), one gift idea for men and one stocking stuffer (items $25 and under).
I'm a huge fan of Origins and they've got some fabulous holiday stuff this year! I shared their lovely Drink Up Hydrating Lip Balm set in Vol 3 as a stocking stuff idea. The All is Bright set focuses primarily on the eyes with the addition of 1 face product.
In this Set
This set includes the following products:
- GinZing™ Refreshing eye cream to brighten and depuff 0.17 fl. oz./5 ml
- GinZing™ Energy-boosting moisturizer 1.0 fl. oz./30 ml
- GinZing™ Brightening cream eye shadow in Sugar Peach 0.17 fl. oz./5 ml
- GinZing™ Brightening mascara to lengthen and lift 0.47 fl. oz./14 ml
On the Eyes/Face
The eye cream is lovely and smooths right into eye skin. The GinZing energy-boosting moisturizer also has a lovely consistency that leaves skin hydrated, but not greasy. The GinZing brightening cream eye shadow in Sugar Peach is a shimmery light pink-peach. It's a decent cream eye shadow, especially when set with shadow! The GinZing brightening mascara is a good mascara (keep in mind it is not waterproof) that provides moderate volume and length.
This set retails for $35

Jonathan Adler Socks
Now you may be looking at this suggestion and thinking, "Socks? Really? Isn't that like giving someone a tie for Father's Day?" First of all, there are some amazing ties out there and the Hubs actually likes a good tie! That aside, these socks are great quality and have fun patterns. If the man in your life hasn't upgraded to "big boy" socks, it's definitely worth getting him a pair so he can experience them in my opinion! The Hubs has received this brand of socks from me before and liked them. They felt nice, fit well and wore nicely.
These socks retail for $14 per pair or you can get a set of 3 for $30

These can be purchased through Jonathan Adler's site
Too Faced Jingle All the Way Makeup Phone Case
I saw this adorable makeup phone case when it first launched and thought it was so adorable! I checked it out last time I was in Sephora (they have an exclusive phone case design with the same makeup insert) and thought it was even cuter in person! I'm not an iphone user (DROID here), but I can definitely see this being a fantastic gift for someone who either uses an iphone or wants a cute makeup palette for their purse!
This retails for $25 (I saw it at Ulta on sale for $19 though)
