Shamanuti Pumpkin Enzyme Masque Review

shamanuti pumpkin enzyme masque review

Product Type

This is a pumpkin-based face mask meant to renew and protect skin through its natural ingredients.

Scent

This has a light pumpkin puree scent with a dash of something tart at the end.

On the Face

This mask is meant to be applied in a thin layer to cleansed skin and then left on for 5-10 minutes. Shamanuti states that tingling may occur and to remove it if irritation occurs. As you know, I have very sensitive skin. When I put this mask on I immediately felt a tingling sensation. It was bearable, but for my sensitive skin I felt it was best to remove it after around 3 minutes as the tingling grew stronger. I had no irritation with this mask and my skin was noticeably smoother and more even with use.

My Thoughts

I really liked this face mask! Despite the fact that I felt it best to remove it a little early, my sensitive skin did not react to it in a negative way and the end result was really great. I love that the ingredients are so natural! I prefer natural skin care whenever possible and this worked really well. This is definitely worth considering for your winter skin care routine in my opinion!

I am a huge fan of activated charcoal skin products! I find they work well on my skin and keep my skin nice and clear. I love that it comes in 2 sizes so you can try a smaller bottle prior to purchasing a larger one. This is a great natural charcoal cleanser and well worth trying in my opinion.

Shamanuti Seaweed Toner Review

Shamanuti Seaweed Toner Review natural skin care

Product Type

This is a facial toner meant to delicately balance and nourish skin while reducing the appearance of pores.

Scent

This has a naturally floral scent to it (I can really smell the Roman Chamomile, which I tend to love, and Lavender). It does not linger on the face once it dries.

On the Face

As you know, I tend to have a hard time finding toners I can use on my face because my skin is so sensitive. I'm happy to report that this worked very well on my face and caused no irritation. It dried pretty quickly, visually smoothed my skin and made a wonderful addition to my skin care routine after cleansing and before applying my face moisturizer!

Additionally, the Hubs used it post-shave and found it worked really well as an aftershave toner! He has somewhat sensitive skin and finds it tricky to find things that work well post-shave to reduce the irritation he gets the majority of the time (regardless of what he uses when he shaves). I foresee a purchase of this toner happening sooner rather than later!

Ingredients

Aloe barbadensis (Organic Aloe) Leaf Juice, Ascophyllum nodosum (Organic Kelp) Extract, Aphanizomenon Flos Aquae (Organic Blue Green Algae) Extract, Sodium Benzoate, Glucolactone, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic Acid), Salix nigra (Black Willowbark) Extract, Sodium Chloride (Dead Sea Salt), Polysorbate, Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree) Essential Oil, Citric Acid

Price

This toner retails for $10 (1 fl oz) or $28 (4 fl oz)

Where to Buy

Shamanuti Seaweed Toner can be purchased directly through their site as well as through authorized retailers

My Thoughts

This toner was a huge win in my book! It worked well, didn't cause irritation and completely won over the Hubs as well. I love that this also comes in 2 sizes so you can give it a try prior to purchasing a larger bottle. I think the smaller bottle would make a great addition to any kit or on-the-go makeup bag because of its convenient size! If you're looking for a good toner definitely give this a try.

Shamanuti Creme Samples

I received packet-style samples of 3 of the cremes offered by Shamanuti. I've provided brief reviews of each below.

Shamanuti Creme No 1. Review

This is a multi-tasking face cream meant to nourish, relax and repair skin.
  • Scent - This has an incredibly strong fragrance that is primarily rose scented (naturally scented)
  • On the Face - This moisturizes really well and caused no irritation to my face
  • My Thoughts - I think this is a fabulous face moisturizer, but the scent was so strong that I couldn't leave it on my face. My nose is pretty sensitive, but this was strong enough that as soon as I applied it to my face the Hubs could smell it from across the room quite strongly. I think if you have a less sensitive nose that this is definitely worth trying.
  • Price - This retails for $48 (1 fl oz)
  • Where to Buy - This can be purchased through Shamanuti's site.

Shamanuti Sunbutter Creme Review

  • Scent - You can faintly smell the base ingredients, but there is no real fragrance per say. It is very subtle once completely dry on the skin and becomes almost undetectable.
  • On the Skin - This hydrates well and I love that it offers UV protection (since that's a big thing for me), though I wish the SPF was listed.
  • My Thoughts - This is a great moisturizing creme. It is not super thick and those that prefer lighter body butters will probably prefer this one.
  • Price - This retails for $36 (4 fl oz)
  • Where to Buy - This can be purchased through Shamanuti's site.

Shamanuti Golden Light Creme (my personal favorite of the 3)

  • Scent - This has a fairly subtle natural floral fragrance. It fades almost completely once applied and dried.
  • On the Skin - This was the thickest of the cremes and the most moisturizing. It leaves skin with a slightly dewy finish.
  • My Thoughts - I prefer super thick, luxe face creams because I have dry skin--especially in the winter. This is fabulous and my favorite of the 3 cremes! I also prefer dewy finishes so this one works for me (dewy, not greasy). I would assume that those with oily skin would use a mattifying product over their mositurizer so this may still be worth a try even if you prefer a matte finish, but as I have dry skin I can't report as to how this works over oily skin.
  • Price - This retails for $46 (1 fl oz)
  • Where to Buy - This can be purchased through Shamanuti's site.

What do you think? Would you try any of these natural skin care products from Shamanuti?
