Naked Princess Naked Shine Lip Gloss Review

Product Type

As mentioned above, these are nude lip glosses meant to plump without stinging and provide beneficial qualities.

Scent/Flavor

These have an "edible" scent to them. It's almost a mix of vanilla and caramel, but I can't quite place it, though I regularly come across this scent in lip products. These also have a slight sweetness to them to the taste.

Shades

Naked Princess Naked Shine Lip Gloss in Naked Blush Swatch
Naked Princess Naked Shine Gloss in Naked Blush - milky pink nude

Naked Princess Naked Shine Lip Gloss in Barely Coral Swatch
Naked Princess Naked Shine in Barely Coral - coral tinted nude

Naked Princess Naked Shine Lip Gloss in Barely Pink Swatch
Naked Princess Naked Shine in Barely Pink - milky pink with micro-sparkle

Naked Pirncess Naked Shine Lip Gloss in Barely Rose Swatch
Naked Princes Naked Shine in Barely Rose - creamy tea rose

On the Lips

As Naked Princess described, these do not sting, but offer a slight plumping quality! They don't plump to the degree the ones with noticeable irritants do, but the overall effect was a slightly plumper, juicier looking lip. These are not sticky for those of you that don't like sticky glosses (I personally don't have a problem with sticky glosses, but I know many do). They are light-weight and comfortable on the lips and I did find them to be fairly hydrating.

My Thoughts

These are really nice glosses if you're looking for a sexy, nude pout! The shades are all very complementary and I love the final effect. If you're the type that hates the tingle and sting of other plumping glosses, you'll be pleasantly surprised by these. I think these would be perfect for wear anytime--including the boudoir of course! These work well on their own as well as layered.

What do you think? Will you be bringing Naked Princess Naked Shine Lip Glosses into your boudoir?

  1. That's great that they aren't stinging! That's the main reason I stay away from plumping glosses in the first place!

    1. I know I'm odd, but sticky glosses and stinging plumping glosses don't bother me lol. I know so many that hate both though! The only stinging gloss I've ever been a tiny bit concerned over stung my lips to the point they felt a tiny bit numb. I guess my Italian Nana (maternal side) telling me "being beautiful is painful" really stuck with me?

    1. A little bit! I don't want people to think they're going to look like they've had their lips filled, but they're a little bit plumper and the gloss gives them a smoother overall appearance which also helps them look plump, too :) I have fairly plump lips as-is so you can compare between other lip swatches to see if that helps!
