T3 Source Showerhead Review
Product Type
This is a high-end showerhead fixture meant to filter out up to 95% of the chlorine in your water to prevent damage and dryness to skin and hair.
Features (according to T3)
- Filters up to 95% of chlorine in water
- 8 spray settings
- Cute jewel embellishment on lever
- Tourmaline produces negative ions to help PH balance
- Resists build-up
- Comes with replaceable filter (good for 6 months)
Installation
Because I am short, I had the Hubs install this for me. He simply removed the original showerhead, wrapped some of the special plumber's tape on the threads of the shower pipe (this tape came with the showerhead), and screwed on the T3 Source Showerhead. He had absolutely no issues and installation took minutes. Were I taller or felt confident putting a small ladder in our shower I could have installed it easily myself!
In the Shower
This shower head is big and lovely! It was easily nearly twice the size of our old showerhead (which I hated). I really like the 8 spray options as well. I think my favorite is the one with mist in the middle and then regular streams around the perimeter. Unlike other showerheads I've used, it is really easy to turn the little jeweled lever and change the settings. After using it a few times, I have to say that even with our super chlorinated, hard water I've seen some improvement. Usually the second I get out of the shower I can tell how dry my hair is from our awful water. This has made a bit of a difference so far. We'll see how things continue as time goes on!

My Thoughts
First of all, I am a big enough dork to get a little thrill from the jewel embellishment. I live in an all-male household, but thankfully my strong girly presence can be seen and felt everywhere--without complaint I might add!
If there is one major thing I regularly miss about living in a city, it's well water! I grew up with the best well water. Unfortunately, most of the places Hubs and I have lived in since have been cities with chlorinated water. Our current city is definitely one of the worst. The water is over chlorinated and hard--absolutely destroys our hair and skin. I'm really hopeful that as months go by we'll see a huge improvement and in the short time we've had it in installed, we've already seen a bit of improvement.
This showerhead is easy to install and very easy to change the settings on while in the shower. I love all of the settings and I love how large it is.
Overall I'm impressed with this and think it's well worth the money! The replaceable filters are only $25 each and only have to be replaced every 6 months--not bad in my opinion at all. If you have similar issues with your water I highly recommend you give this a try! I believe there is one T3 showerhead with a handheld sprayer, though I have no personal experience with it. If that's your preference you may wish to look into it.
Do you have chlorinated water? Would you consider a showerhead like this if it would help improve the water in your shower?

Oh wow! How luxurious! Think I can talk Nick into this?!
ReplyDeleteDo it if you can!!!
DeleteWow! This is a really great idea! If my hair was longer and needed more love than it currently demands, I would definitely be putting this on my Christmas list!
ReplyDeleteFor sure!
DeleteI am going to have to look at this! The water at my house is so full of minerals and is hard!
ReplyDeleteOurs is so chlorinated it's ridiculous :/ I've never seen a showerhead before now that filters it out--thank goodness for this!
DeleteThat's so interesting! Even though I filter my drinking water, I never thought to filter shower water. Makes complete sense, though. Very cool!
ReplyDeleteRight? I had heard of shower filters that filtered out minerals, but not chlorine--which is one of our biggest issues in the city!

ReplyDeleteAw yay!
DeleteOH we so need this! Looks amazing! Filtering shower head...genius!
ReplyDeleteRight?!
DeleteThis is very interesting! Never before put thought into showerheads! :)
ReplyDeleteFor sure!
Delete$50 a year for filters... I suppose that's not too bad. Pretty expensive if it doesn't really make a difference though. I'd have to try it first to actually know!
