Chella Line Antidote Micro Fill Concentrate Review

Product Purpose

Chella Line Antidote has a two-fold purpose--temporarily filling lines while working to reduce lines gradually on a more permanent basis. This is recommended for all skin types by Chella.

Application

This is meant to be applied directly to areas of concern, such as around the eyes, mouth or forehead--anywhere on the face that those tiny lines are beginning to form. This has a thick, slightly waxy consistency, but it is pretty easy to smooth into the skin and it sets fairly fast. The pump dispenses a decent amount of product, so depending on how many areas you need to cover, you may only need 1 pump per application.

My Experience

As I'm not really qualified, I can't attest to its long-term wrinkle reduction, but I can tell you that this almost instantly reduced the appearance of the teeny lines I've begun to see on my forehead. I don't have any lines around my eyes or mouth, but super fine lines have begun to show on my forehead in the last year or so (much to my dismay). Once this was applied I instantly saw a difference as the Line Antidote "filled" them. It's quite impressive! It also makes whatever area you apply it to feel incredibly soft. This did not irritate my skin and has a super faint scent that was not perfume-y, just the smell of the product--if that makes sense.

Price

This retailed for $75 for .5 fl oz.

Where to Buy

My Thoughts

I am really impressed by how Chella Line Antidote worked for me. It is rare that I see instant results with something of this nature, but this may rank as one of the most instantly effective face prep products I've ever used. I'm not sure how this would work on super deep creases as I don't have any to test it on, but I would assume it would at least blur them at minimum under your foundation. The way this makes the surface of your skin look after application ... wow! And you know I don't rave without reason (being the super picky person I am lol). I would highly recommend this if you're looking for something to help blur fine lines on your face and it's in your price range. I'm not sure how this would work for someone with scarring due to acne, but that would be my question to Chella (I'll update when I get an answer)--can this be used to blur acne scarring? Perhaps it can't, but I'll report back once I know! I don't have acne scarring to test it on, but given how well it blurred fine lines it seems as though it might and I know that would probably interest some of you. We'll see!

Chella Skin Firming Serum Daily Primer Review

Product Purpose

This serum is meant to be a daily primer that helps hydrate and firm up skin over time, making it a better surface for makeup application. This is recommended for all skin types by Chella.

Application

Unlike traditional primers, this actually goes on under your daily moisturizer. So your daily routine would become: Chella Skin Firming Serum, Moisturizer, then face makeup. This has an interesting consistency that is almost a cross between a traditional primer and a gel. It's super light-weight and dries quickly. One pump was enough to cover my entire face.

My Experience

This smoothed easily into my face and left my skin feeling so soft and supple. It was pretty impressive! I applied my normal daily moisturizer over it and then applied my makeup over that. Fortunately my skin is pretty good, but I did find this worked well with my foundation as far as wear throughout the day. I didn't find that it had that typical super-silicone-y dry yet slippery feel while applying it. I don't mind it either way, but I thought I'd note that. There was a super faint scent, but it wasn't heavily perfume-y and was actually pleasant--more natural scented. I also have a sensitive nose.

Price

This retails for $90 for 1 fl oz.

Where to Buy

This can be purchased directly from Chella's site HERE

My Thoughts

I actually liked using this as a daily primer and plan to use it regularly. I can't speak to the long-term benefits, but I can tell you that it worked well for me as a primer and it worked well with multiple foundations I used. I would say that if this is within your budget and you're like me and beginning to see fine lines, it might be worth the investment!

All in all, I'm very impressed by Chella! The quality is excellent and if I have the opportunity to try any of their other products I'll be sure to share.

Remember this look I posted not too long ago? I wore Chella Skin Firming Serum as my primer that day!

  1. Phew! Those prices are definitely not in my price range. I will say I got the Chella highlighter in my Ipsy bag in June and I'm loving it. Maybe they will have some more products there so I can try them out!

    1. Yeah, I think for those that tend to invest a bit more in their skin care both of these products are amazing and well worth it :) I've not come across something comparable to the Line Antidote at a higher or lower price tag thus far!

    1. Lol thank you! I tried to capture the fine lines on my forehead to do a macro before and after, but you just couldn't see them in pics but they're there in person! If I can get Patrick to hold still I'll try his forehead because he has a few deeper lines and I'll update this post with before/after shots :)
