butter LONDON Wellies Swatch & Review

Products in this review were provided by PR/the brand.

I was recently given the opportunity to review a few of the new butter LONDON fall colors from the Colour Clash collection (see Giddy Kipper in my 4th of July mani HERE). Today I'm sharing the second color I received--Wellies!

butter LONDON Wellies - 2 Coats with clear base and clear top coat
First of all, please excuse the little areas I somehow missed during clean up. Of course my camera picked up on those! Things were crazy the day I did these (my youngest had a Barium swallow and we spent the day in the hospital so I was pretty tired by the time I did these later that night).

Color

butter LONDON Wellies is a bright chartreuse cream. It's described on butter LONDON's site as a bright grass green, but I've never seen grass this yellow so I think chartreuse is a bit more accurate description-wise.

Application

The first coat applied somewhat streaky, but the second coat evened it out pretty well. Typically with colors like this I find them to be super difficult to work with, but this was fairly good! I did notice that I had some significant shrinking over time, which I don't usually see with the top coat I use, so I'm unsure of whether it was just the polish or the combo of the polish with the top coat. I'll try it again soon with a different top coat and see if it happens again.

Final Thoughts

This is a really pretty, on-trend cream polish that would work well now or in the fall for a pop of color. While the first coat was a bit streaky, the second coat evened it out quite well and I didn't find this to be very difficult to work with. I love colors like this--the brighter the better! And I'm a huge fan of shades of bright green, so this is a thumbs up in my book. If you like this color I recommend nabbing a bottle!

    1. Hahaha well technically I've always done polish mixed in with all the cosmetics, but with the upcoming change of season you know how it goes! Gotta let the polish peeps know what's coming ;)
